Where is Tio Pil's?

Tio Pil's is located on the beach in the heart of San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, Belize. We're a stones throw away from the best dive shops, tour operators, restaurants, bars, grocery stores and night clubs.

We're directly in front of Amigos del Mar,  one of Belize's premiere dive shops and beside Lily's Treasure Chest, where you can find the best seafood ceviche and fish on the island! We're about less than a three minute walk away from Fido's, Wet Willy's, Caramba Elvi's Kitchen and the water taxi terminals.

Ambergris Caye (pronounced Am-BUR-gris or Am-BUR-grease Key) is Belize's largest island, stretching 25 miles long and just over a mile wide. It offers picturesque white sandy beaches,  turquoise clear waters and a coastline protected by the world's largest living Barrier Reef

The Island was once home to the Ancient Maya, European Pirates, and Mexican Refugees who fled during the Caste War. Today, it is one of the top vacation spots in Belize. About 36 miles away from Belize City, Ambergris Caye boasts  some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling sites, exotic restaurants and lively night life.

The main town on the island is San Pedro Town. Once a sleepy fishing village it has come alive while still maintaining its island charm. There are no paved streets, traffic lights, highrise buldings, or chain restaunrants. People walk around barefoot in shorts, drive golf carts and operate on "island time."

The islanders, also known as San Pedranos, are friendly and laid-back, proud of their little paradise and anxious to share it with others, in no hurry of course.  "No Shoes, no shirt, no problem."

What about Belize?
This is the age old question for some who have never visited the country and yet Belize is surprisingly close to some of those who ask themselves this question.

Belize is located just south of Mexico and east of Guatemala. It is bordered to the east by the Caribbean Sea and leads to an array of picturesque islands; the country's very own tropical paradise. It is the only country to form part of both the Caribbean and Central America.
